Fall in Paris

Although it's not technically autumn in Paris until September 21, the season is already in the air. The leaves on the trees have started to change, the fashion temperature is "pull on your favorite sweater" and you spend the sunny days outside, like above, with a hot coffee - book combo.

It's the start of the next year, as I say. Mostly because fall seems to last clear until the New Years countdown. From the time the first leaf falls in mid-August to the day the holiday decorations start to appear in December, it's a marathon of colors and sentiment I await every year.

Call me bias but autumn is so wonderfully long in Paris. And there are multiple ways to take it all in.

One of my favorite ways to take in the season is a visit to Jardin du Luxembourg.

A few other favorite fall locations include Place des Vosges, the Tuileries garden, the neighborhood of Montmartre and Arc de Triomphe. Wishing everyone a happy Autumn.
